About Me

Educational History:

My background and credentials

I was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. I finished my bachelor degree of arts in Economics in the “Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana campus Xochimilco” in Mexico City. I have a Master’s degree from Texas State University, San Marcos in Spanish Literature. I had the opportunity to teach Spanish to college students at Texas State University for two years, and I also worked as a Spanish teacher at Freestyle Language Center as a Spanish conversational tutor and facilitator. For the past two years I worked as a Teacher Assistant on a Middle School campus in Austin ISD. Now I have the pleasure and honor of joining the great Buffalo community, where every faculty member gives a 110% for our High School and Middle school students.

I am looking forward to serving at students and community.

Family Information:

I have a wonderful and beautiful wife, her name is Sarah and she also is a teacher. We have been happily married for ten years now. Together we have four children (pets) two dogs and two cats. Their names are: Bruja (means “witch” in Spanish), she is a good witch though, Chiquita, Toots, and Mini. I believe that we are pretty fortunate!

Personal Information:

¡Hola! Buffalo Parents!

I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your support and involvement in your son’s/daughter’s Spanish I class, though I am pretty sure you all are already giving 100%

My commitment to you and your children is to help them with what I know best, that is to teach your kids as much of the Spanish language as I can.  Also, I will try to give them as much exposure as possible to the Latin American world and Hispanic culture.

I would like to have a way to communicate with you, and it is very important to me to keep you informed about your son’s/daughter’s progress, attendance, participation, homework, special projects. I believe that team work is invaluable and without it, a teacher’s work and a student’s effort would fall short of academic excellence in any content area.

So please, on a daily or regular basis try to ask your son/daughter what they have learned in class.  This will keep them aware of your involvement in their education. I really appreciate the time and effort that you have already given by supporting your child’s academic success up to this point.

Thank you very much in advance for helping me assist your child achieve their academic goals.
