After a long and thorough interview process, Heidi Nelson had been selected to be the new Florence Elementary Principal.  Mrs. Nelson has 29 years in education with 13 of those being an instructional leader.  She has a vast working knowledge of curriculum and instruction, interpreting data, and implementing next steps towards reaching academic goals.  She is a team player with an excellent rapport with students and staff.

Originally from Seattle, Mrs. Nelson is a Cum Laude Graduate of Central Washington University and obtained her Master’s Degree as a Summa Cum Laude Graduate of the University of Texas Arlington. 

Mrs. Nelson is already enthusiastically at work preparing for a successful and exciting year ahead.
