Planning for the 2021-2022 School Year

Posted Date: 05/21/2021

Reopening

The Florence ISD leadership team continues to plan for the 2021-2022 school year.  Effective Tuesday May 18, 2021, face coverings are now optional for students, staff, and visitors.

For the 2021-2022 School Year, Florence ISD will require students to attend school in-person and will not be providing our day-to-day instruction in a remote format.  The data statewide, regionally, and locally in our Florence schools overwhelmingly indicates that as educators we are much better able to meet the needs of our students when we can do that in-person.   We will continue to utilize technology in our instructional practices and each student will benefit from our one to one initiative.

Florence ISD will continue to incorporate some of the health and safety procedures such as additional, intensive cleaning, and frequent hand washing.

We will continue to communicate with students, staff and parents as we move into summer activities and the 2021-2022 school year.
