Florence Elementary Teacher Angie Worley was selected by Mr. Michalewicz as the Teacher of the Month for May 2019.   According to Dr. Bradford, “Ms. Worley has an immense amount of knowledge and years in education, and we are lucky to have snagged her for our 5th graders.  She is a classic teacher that knows and understands her content like no other!  She has very high expectations for our Buffs, and they rise up to those expectations. Ever since she has come on board, her students shine on the STAAR assessment.  This year alone, on the first administration of STAAR, she had 89.47% of her kids pass.  Of that percent, 58% meet the grade level expectation and 42% mastered the content!  She is kind and caring and really wants kids to learn!”  In addition to a certificate and a district challenge coin, Ms. Worley will receive $250.00 from the Florence Education Foundation for use in her classroom.  Congratulations Ms. Worley!
