Superintendent Rick Kirkpatrick has named Mrs. Lauren Neil as the interim principal at Florence Middle School. Mrs. Neil has served as the Assistant Principal at the Middle School campus for the past two year.

Mrs. Neil has been in education for 12 years as a teacher, coach, athletic coordinator and an administrator. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, “Hook’em Horns”, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Movement Science. Mrs. Neil received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Prior to coming to Florence, Mrs. Neil was an assistant principal at Wagner Middle School in Georgetown ISD. Before moving into administration Mrs. Neil served as a Girls Athletic Coordinator and coach teaching PE, pre-athletics, and athletics. Mrs. Neil also taught 8th grade Science for 4 years.

Mrs. Neil is looking forward to leading with the HERD at FMS! She believes that all students are deserving of a quality education and is excited to assist students and staff with their educational journey.
