At a Special Called Meeting on December 7, 2022, the FISD Board of Trustees selected Keith Boles as the Interim Superintendent effective January 2, 2023.   Mr. Boles will fill the role of interim, while the district conducts a search for a new superintendent.

Keith Boles is a native of Cooper, Texas and graduated from Cooper High School in 1983. Mr. Boles received both his BS Degree in 1987 and his Master’s in Education Administration in 1992 from East Texas State University.

Mr. Boles retired in 2019 after 32 years in education. This experience includes service as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent.  Since his retirement from Henderson ISD in 2019, he has served as an interim at several districts, most recently in Jarrell ISD.

Mr. Boles resides in West, Texas and is married to his wife, Sandra, who is a native of West. The Boles’ have three grown children and two grandkids.  In his spare time, Mr. Boles enjoys working on his “farm”, and spending time with his grandkids.
