Florence ISD Calls November 2018 Bond Election
FLORENCE, TX – The Florence ISD Board of Trustees voted to accept the Facilities Planning Committee’s recommendation to call a $7.5 million bond election to be held on November 6, 2018, that would address aging facilities, safety and security, and academic and technology upgrades district-wide, with emphasis at the elementary school.
This bond is based on the recommendation of the Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee, comprised of a cross-section of community members, who met over the course of several months and to study, deliberate, and prioritize the needs of the district. The Board of Trustees charged them to create and recommend a long-range plan for the district to address current and future facility needs.
The District has launched a bond information website that includes details about the proposed projects included in the referendum, and other information such as tax impact and voting times and locations. Please visit www.FlorenceISDBond.net to familiarize yourself with the bond package and submit any questions you may have. This website will continue to be updated with information about upcoming bond information meetings and polling site details for both Bell and Williamson County.
Florence ISD residents will have the opportunity to vote on the bond referendum on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. In addition, early voting begins October 22 and runs through November 2.
