Senior Reagan Cottle makes All-State Band!

Reagan Cottle becomes one of the best musicians in the State of Texas by earning a rightful place in the All Texas Small School Band ALL-STATE BAND!

Congratulations to Florence HS Band Senior, Reagan Cottle for making first chair at the ATSSB Area auditions this past Saturday, January 6, 2024. For making first chair, Reagan has earned a position in the prestigious ATSSB All-State Band.

This is the highest honor a musician in the State of Texas can achieve! Beginning each fall, over 70,000 high school students across the state audition in their TMEA/ATSSB Region. Individuals perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument. A select group of musicians advances to compete against musicians from other Regions in their TMEA Area. The highest-ranking musicians judged at the TMEA Area competitions qualify to perform in one of 18 Texas All-State ensembles sponsored by the Band, Orchestra, and Vocal Divisions.

Reagan becomes the third band student in the history of the Florence HS band program and the first in the last ten years to have achieved this honor.

Reagan will participate and perform with the ATSSB All-State band at the Texas Music Educators Convention in San Antonio, Texas, February 7-10.

If and when you see Reagan, please congratulate him on earning this achievement!
