Welcome to the Florence Middle School Bands (Intermediate and Beginner) webpage!

The Florence Middle School Beginner Band is an award winning Band that has earned a 1^st Division rating at the Pride of Texas Music Festival since 2013! 

The Florence Middle School Varsity is a consistent 1^st Division rating Band! In 2016 the MSVB earned a 1^st Division rating at UIL Concert & Sight-reading Contest (Concert portion). In July 2016, the MSVB was awarded 10^th place at the Texas Music Educators Association 1C State Honor Band Finals! In 2017 the MSVB earned a 1^st Division rating at the UIL Concert & Sight-reading Contest (Concert & Sight-reading portion) and was awarded with the 1^st ever UIL Sweepstakes “C” Trophy! In 2018, the MSVB earned “Straight 1’s” First Divison in Sight-reading and was awarded 9^th place at the TMEA 1C State Honor Band Finals! In 2019, the MSVB earned a 1^st Division rating at the UIL C&SR Contest (Concert & Sight-reading portion) was awarded their 2^nd Sweepstakes C Trophy in its history! In 2020, the MSVB earned their 3^rd in school history but their 2^nd Consecutive UIL Sweepstakes Award! The Band is under the direction of Mr. Trent Shipp.
