It is Cough, Cold, and Flu season. Please remember to cover your cough, wash your hands, and stay home from school if you are sick. The Department of State Health Services guidelines says you must stay home for fever >100.0 and until you are fever free without the use of fever reducing medications for 24 hours. This 24 hour rule applies to fever, diarrhea and vomiting. You must be fever, diarrhea and vomit free for 24 hours with out medications before you return to school. Reminders: Students are NOT allowed to carry any medications, oils or herbal or dietary supplements. If you would like to have medications at school, a request to administer medications form must be filled out and the medications must be brought in by a parent/guardian and dispensed by the nurse. Students may carry their own cough drops (the only exception).
